SubsystemsThe InPort (Input Port) block defines an input interface for a Subsystem. It receives values from outside the subsystem and makes them available to internal blocks.

Remarks & Best Practices
- Stateless pass-through: InPort adds no delay or processing — the value passes through in the same simulation step
- Default value: Always set a safe default; it is used when the external connection is missing or not yet resolved
- Naming: Use descriptive names like "speed_setpoint" — the port name appears on the subsystem boundary
- Placement: Group InPort blocks on the left side of the subsystem canvas for readable layouts
- Multiple InPorts: Each input signal to the subsystem needs its own InPort block with a unique portName
