By accessing or using BlockWerk ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and automated agents accessing the Service.
BlockWerk is a free, browser-based visual simulation platform for block diagram modelling and dynamic system analysis. The Service runs entirely within your browser via WebAssembly. Your simulation projects and data are stored locally on your device using browser storage (IndexedDB) and are not transmitted to or stored on any server operated by us.
You retain full ownership of all simulation models, diagrams, parameters, and projects you create using BlockWerk. By using the Service you do not transfer any intellectual property rights to us.
The BlockWerk application itself — including its user interface, graphical design, documentation, and underlying code — is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, redistribute, or create unauthorized derivative works of the closed-source platform assets without explicit written permission.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with applicable laws and regulations. You may not use BlockWerk to develop systems intended to cause physical or financial harm, to facilitate illegal activity, or to infringe upon the rights of third parties.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that numerical simulation results will be accurate or suitable for any specific mission-critical application. Simulation results must not be used as the sole basis for safety-critical or life-support engineering decisions without independent physical verification.
To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, the operator of BlockWerk (a natural person acting in a personal capacity) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, errors in numerical simulation results, or business interruption. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed €0, reflecting the fact that the Service is provided free of charge.
We collect anonymous, aggregated usage analytics to help improve the Service. This telemetry does not identify you personally and does not include your simulation model content. You can disable telemetry at any time via the Privacy settings within the application. For full details, please review our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms or the features of the Service at any time without prior notice. Updated Terms will be made available within the application. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We also reserve the right to discontinue the Service at any time without liability.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the Netherlands.
